Kick-Off events for new Project teams

In today’s rapidly changing environment, every organisation finds itself undertaking specific project initiatives, whether for internal business improvement or interfacing with other organisations for business or product/ service development. Our research clearly indicates that project teams that have not performed effectively usually failed because they did not form as a team from the start. This is particularly evident within teams that are made up of people from different departments, functions or even different organisations.

Until everyone knows each other, is comfortable working together and has defined a common way of working, there is a strong likelihood that the unit will not perform as an effective team.

In order to address this issue, we have developed an intensive “Project Team Kick-off” development programme. Our flexible format has been designed so that it can integrate with specific project planning activities thus achieving a very tangible output whilst fast-tracking the development of the project team.

Our programme enables the team to get to know each other better and appreciate each other’s strengths and contributions. They will also develop ways of working together that they are all committed to using and define agreed success criteria for evaluating their performance.

All teams have different characteristics based on the membership.  We do not drill teams to perform in a certain way but provide a structure and facilitation to help them to discover their potential. This enables them to take responsibility for their own performance and to establish methods of reviewing their processes once back at work.

We have many years of experience of working with a wide variety of teams who have gone on to achieve great things.  Some of them return for reunions at Middle Aston House many years after they originally met here at the outset of their project.
